With our world growing at leaps and bounds part time data entry jobs are becoming more available. These part time data entry jobs are growing from secretarial to medical transcribing. Take medical coding for instance this is a field that is growing for everyone has medical issues throughout there lives and someone has to transcribe doctor’s files and notes into what we all commonly use now computers. For this one can earn well and continue earning for years to come.


There are schools who will train you to be a medical transcription’s and help you obtain a job or resources to find employment after completing training. Many will allow you to work your own hours at home inputting the data as long as all is completed as they want and in the time frame they want. With this type of work also come some supplies that you might not have and would have to obtain before starting such as a medical transcriber (recorder) that makes transcribing simpler and more efficient.


School that are providing training may also include such things as supplies that are require for these types of positions. Books such as medical terminology and codes for billing would also be needed for transcribing or billing for such services.

Looking into schools to help with training and securing a position can be long and tiresome but as we all know the internet and friends who are in the field can be great resources. Another good source could also be an employer wanting you to go into data entry position for them and are willing to provide you with training and supplies needed if you guarantee so much of your time for doing so to them after training is complete.


This could be your chance to secure a job even before training is complete and get all supplies that would be costly for you to obtain but with the opportunity you can have them with little cost to you other then working for them afterwards.



University of Phoenix offers classes online for associates in health care administration which covers medical records; American Intercontinental University has an associate’s class for medical billing and coding; Kaplan University has an associate for Medical Transcriptionist to name just few schools out there for training which also provide job placement help and advisement. Always check accreditations for your areas for this is something that varies and it would not be a good thing to train and not be able to use your training in your area. After training look for jobs in the area and do further checking to know the best option suitable for you before taking any position as well as getting what you desire out of the position as well.
